PHH Golden Corner Chapter Enhances Accessibility got Korean War Veteran Paul Stephens

Last Updated 2/3/2025Posted in Golden Corner, South Carolina Chapter Projects, Chapter Projects

These photos are from the home of Paul Stephens in Pickens County, SC. Mr. Stephens is a Korean Army Veteran. Larry Druffel was the project manager for this project. This project was the first to use the Bath Fitter Clean Cut Convertible tub kit. Mr. Stephens has a cast iron tub that had to be cut to receive the converter. It only took one day to finish the installation saving many days in demolition work and installation of a walk in shower. It is also very cost effective compared to a full bathroom shower remodel. The carpet was removed from the adjoining bedroom and replaced with hard flooring so that it would be easier for Mr. Stephens' wheelchair to move between the two rooms. There was a small metal ramp transition installed in the garage leading into the kitchen.
