These photos are from the home of Vietnam Army Veteran Barry Peek in West Union, SC. He was exposed to agent orange during his service and suffers from diabetes. He is an amputee and is confined to a wheelchair. Currently Mr. Peek is in a VA hospital in Asheville, NC completing physical therapy. Mr. Peek needed a bridge to cover a span to one of his entrances, a ramp and a deck outside. Inside work included widening a doorway from the bedroom to a bathroom. The
bathroom is being remodeled to accommodate the use of a wheelchair as well as gaining access to the shower and toilet. Grab bars and an ADA toilet were also installed. Many thanks to the project manager Larry Druffel, Michael Arabe who has been the project leader on site and volunteers from the Reserve at Koewee for the tremendous job they have done getting everything ready in time for Mr. Peek to come home! It looks awesome!
