PHH Golden Corner Chapter Renovates Vietnam Era Veteran Michael Lee's Bathroom

Last Updated 2/3/2025Posted in Golden Corner, South Carolina Chapter Projects, Chapter Projects

These photos are from the home of Vietnam Era Air Force Veteran Michael Lee in Belton, SC. Mr. Lee is suffering from neuropathy in both legs and is confined to a wheel chair when he leaves his home. We removed their old ramp and built them a new one several months ago. The hall bathroom remodel was the second phase for this project. The hall bathroom was expanded by removing a wall and utilizing a pantry next to the bathroom. The old tub was removed and replaced with a walk in tub that the the Lee's purchased themselves. The door to the bathroom was moved and widened. A new toilet, vanity and flooring were installed. The bathroom also got all new drywall, paint and trim. It turned out fantastic! Great work by Bill Campbell and volunteers that worked on this project. We sincerely hope the Lee's enjoy their new bathroom!
